Howdy, I'm Janelle 👋

I'm a designer and creative director in Toronto, building brand experiences end to end, from research and strategy through to the final pixel. My sweet spot is where brand meets customer experience: I bring a marketing backbone to design systems, so that identity, interaction, and storytelling feel like one cohesive story, whether someone meets it in a website, an email, an app, or an airport. I've worked across brand identity, web and UX, CRM and paid media, packaging, print, video and art direction, and I stay hands-on at every level. I'm happiest when the work is both strategically grounded and a pleasure to use: great design should feel as good as it looks. As a leader, I mentor designers and art directors through concept, critique and craft, and I'm experienced collaborating closely with strategy, account, product,and technology teams. I care about building teams rooted in curiosity, excellence, and psychological safety. We all just want to make work we're proud of, and have fun doing it, am I right? By day, I lead creative as an Associate Creative Director at GALE. By night, I'm probably binge-reading the latest romantacy or creating moodboards for my 12th bedroom redesign.
